Edward Gordon Craig

Edward Gordon Craig (1872-1966) was an English actor, director and scenic designer. Craig’s revolutionary theories on theatrical set design represented a significant departure from the realistic designs that dominated the great stages of the world. Craig’s designs were abstract, sometimes grand and ambitious, focusing on light and movement within the stage picture instead of an accurate representation of the setting. – Justin Cash
